Fibrenamics and the ballistic protection products developed under the AuxDefense project for the Ministry of National Defense, were highlighted in the Army Day celebrations that took place from October 20 to 28, in Guimarães.

The event “Army - Technological Partner”, which started the celebrations and took place in Paço dos Duques, featured the presentation and demonstration of the various technological projects that the Army has been following, such as Auxdefense, and which for Ana Santos Pinto, Secretary of State for National Defense present at the session, “they are embodiments that we should all be proud of and that should serve as an example for what is the development potential of the Armed Forces and the Army, but also what it is the export potential, through consortia ”.

During the event, the AuxDefense consortium received from the Secretary of State and the Army Chief of Staff, General Nunes da Fonseca, the “Army Tested” quality seal for the products developed - ballistic helmet and vest, knee pads and elbow pads . A certification model under the responsibility of the Army's General Staff that certifies products approved in the most rigorous tests of resistance and usability, by combining the most advanced material levels to generate comfort and durability that far exceed regular standards.

AuxDefense products were also on display open to the public during the week of celebrations and paraded for the new Minister of National Defense, João Gomes Cravinho, at the Military Ceremony on October 28 with the unit of 32 soldiers who will soon leave on a mission to Afghanistan.
