BATIMAT opens the door to the CIPS project

Fibrenamics and its partner company CIPS (Carpintaria Irmãos Pinto da Silva, Lda) were present last week at BATIMAT, a building materials fair in Paris. This participation was intended to present the product resulting from the R&D project developed by the two entities, the CIPSET 40 port.

CIPSET 40 is a multi-layered high-tech door, with fire resistance, sound insulation and antimicrobial features, to meet fundamental requirements in specific spaces such as hotels, public spaces, hospitals and clinics and vivariums.

This project was born from the need that CIPS felt to assert itself in the market where it operates, placing itself at the forefront of companies in the sector. In this sense, taking into account the current economic situation and an increasingly competitive market, the company CIPS decided to ally itself with Fibrenamics in the realization of this innovation project, since it believes that it is “extremely important that companies are able to develop skills that allow them to appear in international markets with innovative solutions, in terms of product and service, the result of carrying out research and technological development activities that create new knowledge, allowing continuous evolution in the value chain ”.

For Carlos Mota, a researcher at Fibrenamics, “it was with great satisfaction that Fibrenamics was at CIPS's side in presenting the product resulting from the I&DT project to incorporate CIPS experience and Fibrenamics technical-scientific knowledge, originating a product that satisfies market needs. ” In CIPS 'view, “the feedback provided by the participants was very positive”, with the company expecting a considerable increase in turnover.

In addition to the presentation of CIPSET 40, Fibrenamics had the opportunity to be in direct contact with countless materials and products from different parts of the world and visited more than 3000 exhibitors. From this participation, a technological surveillance report on materials and products with innovative characteristics was made, which will be available soon.

Participation in BATIMAT was, therefore, an engine for the enrichment and promotion of new research and development activities, in order to respond to the gaps and opportunities in the construction market.
