Fibrenamics Green combines sustainability with art and creativity

Fibrenamics Green - Platform for the development of innovative products based on waste will organize, on September 27, an initiative to promote the Circular Economy that aims to bring together professionals from the creative and business areas. This event will take place at Ateneu Comercial do Porto, starting at 10 am.

In the morning the WORKSHOP - Art, design and creativity in product development will take place, taught by Guilherme Braga da Cruz, from SHOW ME - design & art gallery, and by designer André Teoman, who will be entirely dedicated to the creative community Green Think Tank .

The afternoon will have as its motto the session Fibrenamics Green: SUSTAINABILITY IN NETWORK, with the participation of several business entities and creative areas, such as the Portuguese Designers Association and SMART WASTE PORTUGAL, followed by a moment of interaction between professionals from creative areas and the business environment.

In this event there will also be a presentation session of the winning projects of the first Green Think Tank Creativity Contest, and there will also be the official launch of the second “Mineral & Plastic” Creativity Contest.

About Fibrenamics Green

Fibrenamics Green is a sustainable innovation project, which is being developed by the International Fibrenamics Platform at the University of Minho, in partnership with the Center for the Valorisation of Residues, and which aims at the incorporation and valorisation of residues from various industries for the development of innovative products.

The Fibrenamics Green Project - Platform for the development of innovative products based on waste, with the reference NORTE-01-0246-FEDER-000008, is co-financed by the ERDF under the Northern Regional Operational Program NORTE2020, with a total eligible cost of € 552,856.83, EU financial support of € 469,928.31 and self-financing of € 82,928.52.
