Fibrenamics Green debates Sustainable Innovation Opportunities

The project Fibrenamics Green - Platform for the development of innovative products based on waste will organize, in partnership with the Portuguese Business Association (AEP), on the 11th of May a workshop on Sustainable Innovation Opportunities, which will take place, starting from from 2 pm, at the AEP building, in Leça da Palmeira. This event marks the last public presentation session of the Fibrenamics Green project.

Alongside the opening session, which will include the intervention of Rosário Azevedo, representative of the Operational Program North 2020, there will be a moment for the official signing of the partnership protocol between Fibrenamics, CEDRAC and AEP. The workshop will also include the participation of Cláudia Guterres from AEP, who will present the Novo Rumo a Norte digital platform, Benedita Chaves from Lipor, who will talk about “Sustainable waste management solutions” and Sonae, in a presentation on “Corporate sustainability”.

Finally, there will be a moment of technological networking where you can visit the exhibition “Fibrenamics Green - From Waste to Product”.

Fibrenamics Green is a sustainable innovation project, which is being developed by the International Fibrenamics Platform at the University of Minho, in partnership with the Center for the Valorisation of Residues, and which aims at the incorporation and valorisation of residues from various industries for the development of innovative products.

The event is free, however requires registration.

The Fibrenamics Green Project - Platform for the development of innovative products based on waste, with the reference NORTE-01-0246-FEDER-000008, is co-financed by the ERDF under the Northern Regional Operational Program NORTE2020, with a total eligible cost of € 552,856.83, EU financial support of € 469,928.31 and self-financing of € 82,928.52.
