Fibrenamics’ Technology is presented in International Fair

From Guimarães to the world, out came another technological innovation of excellence. This one is now positioned in the market as the main alternative for concrete and steel elements. An example of the usage of this technology could be the substitution of the beams used in railroads.

From the technological core of Fibrenamics, was developed a composite material with piezoresistive capability, with chemically treated glass fiber and functionalized with a solution of GNPs (Graphene Nanoplatelets), which resulted in a polymeric composite material with the ability to detect pressure.

The use of this composite material not only allows the platforms that incorporate it to become lighter, but also promotes intelligent and real-time monitoring of loads, wear, and other parameters of interest.

During September 20-23, this technology will be on exhibition in Berlin, Germany, at the largest international transportation technology fair - InnoTrans.

Discover the details of this technology in the video below.

Fibrenamics Empowers the Construction Sector with Smart Materials

If in the past, we went through the age of stone and bronze, today, if we could give a name to this era, it would undoubtedly be the age of composite materials. In this century, we've been witnessing the proliferation of this type of materials to the widest market sectors and, therefore, the construction sector is no exception.
