Fibrenamics gathered in Guimarães, on November 19, 2021, partner companies, researchers, employees, special guests, and representatives of institutional entities, such as CCDR-N, ANI, the Regional Government of Azores, Guimarães City Hall, and the University of Minho to jointly celebrate the 10th anniversary of Fibrenamics Association - Institute of Innovation in Fiber and Composite Materials.

In a first moment, the event included the exhibition of artworks, carried out by the artists Emanuel Pimenta, Bernardo Rodrigues, and Carolina Fangueiro. All the exhibited pieces had, as a common thread, the fibers, and their immense potentiality, taking us, in their environment, to the future of the imaginable, through visual, auditory, and sensorial stimuli. Extending this fusion of art within corporatism, the event also included a moment of dance, streamlined by the Fafe Ballet School.

In a second moment, during the Fibrenamics 10th anniversary dinner, Raul Fangueiro, President of Fibrenamics, began by telling the story of Fibrenamics, since the disruptive idea that originated, in 2011, the creation of this platform for transfer and production of scientific knowledge from the University of Minho to the business sector, until the current moment, the consolidation of this Association.

Subsequently, Fibrenamics honored individuals, partner companies, and institutions that had, in these 10 years, a key role in the affirmation of this Institute. Highlighted should be the distinction given, in the Institution category, to the Guimarães City Hall, by the hands of António Cunha, President of CCDR-N.

In his speech, Domingos Bragança, the Mayor of Guimarães city, thanked Fibrenamics for the award and reminded everyone that the institutional partnership with the University of Minho is fundamental to winning the future and that he will do everything to make this strategic asset increasingly indispensable and decisive. "The Guimarães City Hall is committed to the affirmation of Fibrenamics, reason why the association will have, in the future, its facilities at Fábrica do Arquinho, in Caldeiroa, where the Aerospace Engineering Course of the School of Engineering will also operate, cementing the cooperation with one of the top European universities. The future, in science, is dazzling", he concluded.

The second entity distinguished, in the same category, was the University of Minho, which Rui Vieira de Castro, the rector, highlighted the commitment with Fibrenamics for its strengthening "(...) through closer relations with partner companies (...)", also launching the appeal to the entities present to also commit themselves to this Association.

In the spotlight also appears the intervention of António Cunha, President of CCDR-N, who praised the unique technical capacity and multidisciplinary approach of the Association to the various challenges of society. "I see this project today, from CCDR-N, as a hope for the development of the Northern region, the country and the world. We believe that the future of Fibrenamics will be even more promising and that it will certainly present a new lease of life with the new facilities," he said.

Finally, this event closed with an exclusive live musical moment provided by the artist Tiago Nacarato (in trio).
