"Only by obtaining scientific knowledge is it possible for companies to stay on the scene"
On February 24th, the Aux_Seamless project was presented to the public, at SICI93, in Braga.
During the event, it was possible to know in detail this development that, as a curiosity, the adjacent innovative technology is in the process of being patented. Simultaneously, this project was developed in partnership between Playvest and the Fibrenamics Association - University of Minho.
In an interview with Fibrenamics, Hernâni Dias, Head of R&D at Playvest, says that this collaboration with the Association arose from the internal need to differentiate its product range, as well as the ambition to reduce the transparency of its materials and still provide some level of protection to its sports equipment. It should be noted that, since 2018, Playvest has become the sports apparel division of the international Nextil group.
Furthermore, it was possible to verify that the vision of Playvest's CEO, Jorge Barreto, is totally aligned with Hêrnani's, since both speculate that, based on this project, it will be possible to consolidate Playvest's positioning as an innovative company and introduce products with differentiated value propositions in the market.
During his interview, Jorge also highlighted the importance of establishing a partnership with the Fibrenamics Association because, in his view, only by obtaining scientific knowledge is it possible for companies to stay on the scene.
Thereby, at the end of his interview, the CEO of Playvest, highlighted the fact that Playvest has become a founding partner of the Fibrenamics Association, because, in his perspective:
"As a founding partner, we will have much more access to all the information, with the aim of gaining as much scientific knowledge as possible."
