Gunter Pauli, the "father" of Circular Economy, in Portugal to participate in Impulse 2024
Gunter Pauli, often referred to as the "Steve Jobs of sustainability" is the visionary founder of the blue economy concept, an approach that challenges the traditional paradigm of economic development by drawing inspiration from the efficiency and regeneration of natural ecosystems.
With a career spanning more than two decades, Gunter Pauli has been a catalyst for change, promoting an economy that benefits the environment while generating new business opportunities and innovation. Author of the influential book "The Blue Economy", which has inspired projects in more than 170 countries, Pauli demonstrates how it is possible to turn environmental challenges into drivers of sustainable economic development.
Through his work, Gunter Pauli has not only proposed but also implemented practical solutions that use waste as a resource, promoting biodiversity and sustainability in various industrial sectors. His philosophy that "there is no such thing as 'waste'" has revolutionized the way companies, governments, and communities think about and interact with the environment.
As a keynote speaker at Fibrenamics Impulse 2024, Gunter Pauli will present valuable insights into how blue economy ideas can be adapted and implemented on a global scale to tackle some of the most pressing ecological and economic challenges of our time, inspiring participants to take action for a more sustainable and regenerative future.
Fibrenamics Impulse 2024, taking place on March 13 from 2 pm to 6 pm at the Cruise Terminal of the Leixões Port, will focus on three key topics: Sustainability, Circular Economy, and Innovation. It's an opportunity to learn, share, and contribute to the building of a sustainable legacy, serving as a catalyst for innovation and a real mindset and business model change.
