From 8 to 23 June, META will be promoted, a joint exhibition of original pieces created based on waste by the national artists Rute Rosas, Miguel Neves Oliveira, Hernâni Reis Baptista and Ana Almeida Pinto, which will be on display at the Zet gallery, in Braga.
In addition to META, Green Month also includes three Design Talks that will have the presence of a nationally renowned creative and the exhibition of products based on residues developed by Fibrenamics Green. The first Design Talk will take place on June 12, at the zet gallery, under the theme “Design and Sustainability”, and will be attended by Filipe Moreira, product designer on the International Fibrenamics platform. On June 14, André Gouveia, from Inngage, will lead the second Design Talk dedicated to “Product Design”, which will take place at the Design Institute, in Guimarães. The last session with the motto “Design Thinking” will take place on June 20, at Oliva Creative Factory, in São João da Madeira, and will be attended by Hélder Teixeira, from Oporto Thinkers Academy.
Green Month ends with the closing session, whose theme will be “Fibrenamics Green - What’s next?”, On June 29, at the Center for the Valorisation of Waste (CVR), in Guimarães. This session will be attended by representatives of the Ministry of the Environment and will set the tone for the next phase of the project.
The valorization of waste, through product design and engineering, giving rise to innovative products, has always been one of the main objectives of Fibrenamics Green. In the final stretch of this project, the platform intends to promote several initiatives that allude and raise awareness of society to the importance of sustainability and that demonstrate that it is possible to combine creativity and the recovery of waste.
