Fibrenamics of the University of Minho promotes International Conference on natural fibers
The International Fibrenamics Platform of the University of Minho is organizing the ICNF 2017 - International Conference on Natural Fibers. This is the third edition of this event, which will take place at the Hotel Meliá, in Braga, from June 21st to 23rd, and which will have about 250 participants from 40 different countries.
“Advanced Materials for a Greener World” is the theme that sets the theme for this edition, and which aims to explore the potential of natural fibers as a means to make the world “greener” for generations future.
In addition to the scientific sessions, the “Natural Fibrenamics Award” will also be organized, a competition that aims to promote and showcase the latest and most innovative products developed from natural fibers from around the world.
On the other hand, ICNF will also have a social program that will allow all its participants to explore the city of Braga and enjoy all its tourist attractions.
The opening ceremony of ICNF2017 will take place on June 21, at 9 am, at the Hotel Meliá and will be attended by the Rector of the University of Minho, António Cunha, the Mayor of Braga, Ricardo Rio, and the coordinator of the Fibrenamics, Raul Fangueiro.
