In his speech referring to the anniversary, Commander Rafael Marques made a point of extolling the importance of the partnership with the University of Minho, through Fibrenamics, which will develop innovative ballistic protection, explosion and cut material to equip the entire unit. The two entities made an application, together with two partner companies, for financing in order to develop these innovative materials. Fibrenamics will be responsible for the investigation, the companies for the production of the materials, while PSP will have the role of gathering requirements and testing and validating the materials.
