Fibrenamics project highlighted at TecNet 2017

The “Lamitech” demonstrator project, which is being developed by the International Fibrenamics Platform at the University of Minho, together with the company ERT Têxtil Portugal, will be publicly presented on June 2 at 3 pm at TecNet 2017, in Torre da Oliva, in S. João da Madeira. Fernando Merino, from ERT Têxtil Portugal, and Raul Fangueiro, from the University of Minho, are the speakers of this session where they will be introduced to the concepts of Smart Life / Smart Mobility inherent to the project, as well as their results.

Lamitech was developed based on two QREN I&DT projects and aims to demonstrate, before a specialized audience, the technical and economic advantages of technologies developed within the scope of active technical laminates with power generation, heating, interactivity, thermal insulation and acoustic.

The knowledge generated during these two projects allowed the development of active technical laminates with heating, power generation, interactivity, thermal and acoustic insulation features, which, during the course of this project, were optimized in order to be integrated in the civil construction markets. , architecture and transport. In this sense, two demonstrators were created, which will be on display in this year's edition of TecNet, an architectural one, called hexosensors, based on the creative concept “Wall on Wheel” and based on the customization of interior spaces through its division based on displacement of a hybrid structure; and an automotive demonstrator that consists of the integration of electric power generation technology from flexible photovoltaic panels in the UOU vehicle.

TecNet is an event dedicated to technology, companies, innovation and entrepreneurship, and will take place in S. João da Madeira, on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd of June.
