According to a study conducted by Stanford University (USA) and the Elsevier publishing group, called "World's Top 2% Scientists 2021", Raul Fangueiro, President of the Fibrenamics Association, is among the most influential scientists in the world. With more than 8 million scientists on the planet, Raul Fangueiro presents himself, therefore, in the group of the 2% most influential around the globe.

Thereby, the study presents the best researchers on the planet, segmented by 22 areas and 176 disciplines, considering, in its base, the volume of publications and citations of their work, according to information from the Scopus database, until August 2021.
