AuxProtech

Within this project, ballistic materials based on auxetic fibrous structures and composites were developed.

It was done an intensive research on fibrous auxetic materials using knitting technology. The auxetic fabrics developed were then converted into composite materials with excellent impact characteristics. Ballistics tests on the auxetic composites developed were performance at the PSP facilities for different types of projectiles showing excellent performance.

These composites where then converted into protective impact shielding panels to be used in bullet proof vests and on ballistic barriers.
