See the Annual Report of 2020 of Fibrenamics

2020 was a year of intense activity for Fibrenamics, mainly because of the urgent need to give an answer to the difficulties caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus, which has installed in the entire planet.

During this period, the publication of White Papers about protective equipment greatly helped companies, hospitals and nursing homes. 

Besides that, the participation in international projects such as CONTEXT, IN2TRACK2, SILK and the publication of scientific articles contributed a lot to the consolidation of the position of Fibrenamics as the dominant entity in the realm of fibers and composites.

In numerical terms, the Intelligence unit registered the publication of 4 White Papers; 3 Intelligence Insights; 11 Technology Scouting articles and 7 Monthly Digest.

On the other hand, the Science unit presented 7 books/chapters; 2 patents; 24 Scientific Articles; 8 publications in minutes conferences; 3 "Special Issues" in Scientific Journals; the "Best Poster Award"; 2 Technical Articles; 20 Submitted Projects; 2 concluded Doctorates and 13 in the conclusion phase.

In the meantime, the Technology unit registered a total of 31 active projects which 7 of them were already concluded. It's important to emphasize the execution of individual IDT Projects as the main typology of actions carried out within the Team, corresponding to about 65% of the global volume of projects in Portugal Continent and 45% in Azores.

Finally, the Business unit launched the Business Talks and the Fibrenamics Impulse #AtHome, the largest online event which occurred in 5 consecutive days, had 25 sessions and 30 speakers in live stream. Not enough, this unit also registered 3 Innovation Open Day events.
